Aitkin Public Schools update on COVID-19 relief funding, ‘Days’ from January 25th meeting

(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin Public Schools Superintendent Dan Stifter spoke before the School Board back on January 25th to provide the latest and positive news on COVID-19 and its impact on the District.
Superintendent Stifter spoke about COVID-19 relief funding that could help compensate the District for the amount of substitutes that have been used and hired.
The Board recently passed the extension of use of the current number of COVID-19 Days teachers have to March 31st. Stifter talked about the variables in the use of those days and logistics of having a staff member in the classroom.
The Aitkin School Board is next scheduled to meet on Monday, February 8th at 7pm from the Media Center at Aitkin High School.
