Aitkin County Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 9th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners returns to the Board Room for their first meeting of February to open discussion cleaning standards, program updates, and Department reports.
Commissioners will seek approval on items including setting a Public Hearing Date for Land Classification and a resolution for a Permanent Right-of-Way Easement Grant.
County Administrator Jessica Seibert will open up discussion for a pair of guests: Brian Martinson of AMC as he will speak on Clean Car Standards and Susanne Hinrichs of the University of Minnesota Extension will give a 4-H Program update.
Auditor Kirk Peysar will present to the Board a resolution for an On, Off & Sunday Liquor License for Minnesota National Golf Club and Resort.
Engineer John Welle will have multiple resolutions for Board approval including a contract to be awarded, the Trunk Highway 2 Detour Agreement, a lease agreement, and an Office Furniture Purchase agreement.
After coming back from a break, Environmental Services Director Terry Neff will be seeking board approval for Recycling contract, Residential Waste Electronics collection, and a Request to Remove Land from the “Restricted” District.
Land Commissioner Rich Courtemanche will open discussion with Commissioners on the Great River Energy Land Sale.
And, Administrator Seibert will return for an agreement for the Rum River Powers Content and Structure which needs Board approval and her Administrator updates.
The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meets at 9am Tuesday, February 9th from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.
