Hendrum, MN — The Norman County West School Board held a special meeting on Wednesday night, January 6th where it was expected they would vote on a consolidation agreement with Ada-Borup. An agreement has been reached by the Consolidation Committees of both districts, but still needs full board approval. Norman County West Board Chair Brad Merkens says he was hoping for a vote at this week’s meeting, but other board members still had questions and concerns about the agreement, so it will have to wait until their regular meeting later this month.
The Norman County West School Board will meet next on Tuesday, January 19th. If approved, the Ada-Borup/Norman County West consolidation would be in effect for the 2021-2022 school year.
