Year in Review – Ag Reason to be Positive
The COVID-19 pandemic has been a downer for all of us in 2020, but for those in Agriculture there were some reasons to be positive. During out Agriculture Year in Review, Don Wick with the Red River Farm Network says we were able to finish off the year on a good note with some strong markets.
Part of the reason for those strong markets, according to Wick, was the trade deals with China and Japan.
And when the times were tough this year, Wick added the federal government stepped up in a big way to help farmers.
Another highlight was the dry fall, which allowed farmers to get their entire crop out of the ground in good time and do some of the essential ground work before winter hit.
