(Aitkin County, MN) — The End of 2020 could not come soon enough for Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida, as we had the opportunity to speak with him for his monthly update and a chance to recap a year’s worth of enforcement.
After another significant snowfall this week which led to a traffic collision, Sheriff Guida reminds us all to let snowplows do their jobs.
Sheriff Guida and his deputies have a majority of their focus on the demonstrations and protests at the Enbridge Line 3 Pipeline site in the Palisade area, which has drawn almost 30 arrests at the tail end of 2020.
Assistance from fellow law enforcement agencies have helped with protecting the work site and those who protest.
Sheriff Guida also spoke on the “tree sitter” protestors and made sure their safety is not compromised.
In closing, Sheriff Guida had plenty to be thankful for what 2020 brought.
