Aitkin County Health & Human Services Meeting from December 22nd

(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin County Health and Human Services Department met with the Board of Commissioners to provide more information on the COVID-19 vaccine, while touching on reappointments to Committees on Tuesday from the Aitkin County Government Center.
Aitkin County Public Health Director Erin Melz spoke about the COVID-19 vaccine coming to Aitkin County and provided some background.
Melz also broke down the list of immediate recipients of the Pfizer vaccine.
The Board of Commissioners approved the reappointment of Ihleen Williams to the Aitkin, Itasca, Koochiching Community Health Board. The Health and Human Services Advisory Board also saw the reappointments of Terri Mathis, Cindy Chuhanic, Penny Olson, Kevin Insley, and Joel Hoppe, and appointed Joni Olson to the Committee. Agreements were also approved for Lutheran Social Services on Guardian/Conservatorship, and Hill City Assembly of God Church and McGregor Schools for WIC Use.
Director Melz also spoke about recent work with the Tri-County Community Health Services Board.
The Aitkin County Health & Human Services Department will next meet with the Board of Commissioners on January 26th, 2021.
