Aitkin County Board meeting Tuesday afternoon, before Budget Hearing

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will be holding their first meeting in the month of December on Tuesday afternoon from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room starting at 1:50pm, ahead of the yearly Budget Hearing.
Commissioners will be looking to approve items including a Fire Protection for the Town of Ball Bluff, an Engagement Letter for CliftonLarsonAllen, a Human Trafficking JPA, and the 2020 Voting Equipment Grant.
Environmental Services Director Terry Neff will present to the Board on Soliciting RFP’s for Operation of the Recycling Center and Drop off Locations and approval of Food, Beverage and Lodging License Fee Delay at 1:55pm. County Auditor Kirk Peysar will discuss Liquor License Fee Delay around 2:15pm. Economic Development & Forest Industry Coordinator Ross Wagner will open discussion for the Mille Lacs East Trail Update on Route Alignment at 2:25pm.
After a break, County Administrator Jessica Seibert will have discussion items featuring 2020 Reserve Requests and 2021 Commissioner and Elected Officials Salaries, Long Lake Conservation Center Fund Transfer, Board Review.
Following Committee updates and a break, Closed Session Meetings with County Auditor Kirk Peysar, County Assessor Mike Dangers, and Sheriff Dan Guida will run from 4:45-5:45pm. Peysar will also speak before the Board on approval decision on Authorizing Repurchase.
The Aitkin County Board will also meet for the yearly Budget Hearing at 6:05pm to present the 2021 proposed budget and the 2021 proposed property tax levy from the Government Center Board Room.
