Gary, MN — Residents of Norman County should soon be receiving mailers about the annual Norman County One Fund Drive. The One Fund Drive is a yearly campaign organized by Gary Cares, a local nonprofit. The purpose of the One Fund Drive, according to Gary Cares President Kari Kirschbaum, is to allow community members a one-stop shop of sorts for people to give charitable contributions before the end of the year.
There are more than dozen local charities that people can choose to contribute to, along with any of the local fire departments or rescue squad. Some national organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association, American Red Cross, and American Heart Association are also represented on the One Fund Drive. Kirschbaum says they are lots of great causes that would greatly appreciate your support.
Last year through the One Fund Drive, community members contributed more than $30,000 to local charities and non-profits and more than $10,000 of that was to the various Norman County Fire and Rescue Departments. Donations are accepted through February 28, 2021. For more information, visit www.garycares.org or contact Anne Nalewaja at 218-556-9487.
