Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro City Commission held their regular monthly meeting last Monday night. At the meeting the commission had some discussions about the possibility of a pedestrian bridge across I-29 to connect the city with their soon to be growing west side. Hillsboro Commission President Terry Sando says they would be using a ND DOT TAP grant as a funding mechanism.
The commission also had discussion about the city website. President Sando says they are looking into options for updating the site or creating a new one altogether.
And with the HEDC’s half cent sales tax being approved by voters a few weeks ago, President Sando says the city is looking to make some changes to the HEDC marketing budget once they start acquiring their own income.
And the city commission again had discussions about the EV Charging Station. Sando notes they are doing their best expedite the process but continue to run into hurdles.
The Hillsboro City Commission also had their first reading of the Redline Ordinances and the 2nd reading of the HEDC Sales Tax ordinance. The commission meets next on December 7th.
