Despite Visitor Restrictions, BLC-Ada Makes Best of Situation

Ada, MN — Norman County is in the red when it comes to the COVID-19 positivity, and the result of which has local nursing homes and care facilities putting strict visitation rules back in place. However, the Benedictine Living Community is trying to make the best out of the situation by finding visitation alternatives and keeping residents busy with fun in-house activities. Wendy Bennefeld of BLC-Ada says as of now all indoor visits have been suspended, but you can schedule either an outdoor visit or a virtual visit.
And don’t assume because most the tenants of the Benedictine Care Community are elderly that the concept of video chatting is beyond them. Bennefeld notes that they’ve adapted quite well to the technology.
Also despite being essentially locked down during the pandemic, Bennefeld says their activities department is doing an outstanding job trying to lift spirits and keep things fun.
