Ada, MN — The Ada-Borup School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday morning. At the meeting, the board received an update on the consolidation talks with Norman County West and approved a resolution to continue moving forward. Ada-Borup Superintendent Aaron Cook says negotiations at this point appear to be going well between the two boards.
Superintendent Cook adds that some of the items that need to be negotiated include facilities, tax impacts, school name, and a variety of other items.
The Ada-Borup Elementary School is currently in a two-week distance learning reset due to staffing constraints from COVID-19. Superintendent Cook says they are planning on having those students return to in-person learning this coming Monday.
And significant progress has been made on the Ada-Borup building project. Cook says the precast walls are now up and the nice weather has certainly sped things up.
The Ada-Borup School Board also approved their winter coaches with no major changes from the previous year. Superintendent Aaron Cook will join the KRJB Kaleidoscope Program this Thursday at 9am to further recap the meeting.
