Aitkin Public School’s 7-12 switching to Distance Learning November 9th

(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin Public Schools Superintendent Dan Stifter informed the public late last week on Aitkin’s decision to switch learning models for Grade 7-12 starting today, November 9th.
The District’s reasoning behind the learning change comes from issues with staffing and some contact tracing concerns.
Stifter noted the upcoming school schedule with conferences this week and the Thanksgiving Holiday playing into the two-week learning model change.
High School Sports are going to continue on, as scheduled, even with numerous schedule changes and adjustments this year.
Stifter also says that access to technology and school materials, compared to this Spring, will make the learning transition a much smoother process.
