Aitkin School Board discusses Levy, Learning Models at Monday meeting

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin Public School Board gathered for their monthly meeting Monday night from the Aitkin High School Media Center to review school policies and hear comments on the proposed Capital Projects Levy.
The Board approved policies including Complaints, the Pledge of Allegiance, Use of Pease Officers, Wellness, and Transportation of Public School Students.
Business Manager Heather Hipp presented the Board on fund transfers for COVID-19 related expenses.
The Board approved the funds transfer. Superintendent Dan Stifter reviewed comments on the Proposed Capital Project Levy.
The Review of the Levy was approved with the Capital Projects Levy on the November 3rd Election ballot. Stifter also talked enrollment numbers under his Superintendent’s Report.
Discussion was also held on COVID-19 Learning models based off positive case numbers
The Aitkin Public School Board will be holding a Special Meeting on November 9th at 7am with their next regular meeting for November 16th at 7pm.
