Aitkin City Council to update Administration office, land purchases

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin City Council will be convening for their regular meeting Monday to hear updates on the Administration office move and review land purchases from the Aitkin Public Library.
The Council is looking to approve an agreement with MnDOT for Snow Removal. City Administrator Rose Beverly will speak before the Council on the Administration office’s move to a new location.
Old Business will feature a purchase request from the Public Utilities Commission for land to be used for a future site of the Wastewater Treatment Facility.
New Business will include a Toward Zero Deaths Presentation from Frank Scherf, Fire Department Updates and Fire Contracts. City Engineer Phil Martin will discuss and present resolutions for the Bunker Hill Dive project and the Aitkin City Park Improvements. The Aitkin Police Department will present a job offer to Joe Fuhrman to join the ranks and discussion will take place on the Newton Property.
The Aitkin City Council meets at 6pm Monday night from the Community Room of the Aitkin Public Library.
