Enough Tragedy with Cuyuna Regional Medical Center

Hear the husband of an impaired driving victim tell his personal story of how the incident forever changed his family’s life at Enough Tragedy on Tuesday, June 29, at 6 p.m. in Crosby-Ironton Secondary School’s Mayberry Auditorium.

At the event, Matt Cardinal will share his tragic personal experience that led to loss of his wife. He will speak about how his children watched their mother die in a vehicle crash caused by an impaired driver and how it has affected their lives. Stephanie Hurt, representing Mothers Against Drunk Driving, will also raise awareness about impaired driving in hopes of educating offenders and preventing driving under the influence.

The vehicle involved in the crash will be on display in the rear parking lot of the high school. Following the presentation, there will also be numerous distracted and impaired driving simulation activities including a pedal kart and distraction goggles, a seat belt persuader and seat belt convincer.

The purpose of the event is to help impaired driving offenders understand the lasting and long-term effects of impaired driving. There is no cost to attend and no reservation is necessary. Cuyuna Regional Medical Center is sponsoring Enough Tragedy with support from Toward Zero Deaths.
