Stride & Seek
Stride and Seek is a scavenger hunt run consisting of teams of 2. Teams will be given a series of clues and challenges to earn points and return to Notch 8 by noon. This event is completed by running and/or walking. You will use your street smarts, knowledge of Brainerd… and of course your phone to stride and seek your way to glory. Downtown History Walk
Take in the sights of picturesque downtown Brainerd, MN. A local historian and tour guide will lead you around the charming brick buildings that align the downtown streets where you will look up, down and all around at things that will surprise and enlighten you.
Your guide will stop and talk about the significance of the buildings around town, the people who built them, and the unique historical stories surrounding them. The tour includes brief sidewalk stops at historically relevant sites. Early images of Brainerd help to bring the past to life. You will be able to compare Brainerd’s first building with today’s cityscape. Be wowed by the pieces of history still here today and inspired by the history of those that came before us.
Guided public tours are available by advance reservation – online purchase or via phone. This tour is limited to 10 people. Tour durations last approximately 90 minutes. Please dress accordingly for walking tours.

- 3pm-5pm: Music from Katie Ziegler
- 4pm: Pie and ice cream eating contests
- 5:30pm-8:00pm: Music from Bruce Archer
- 5:30pm-7:30pm: Cub Foods Ribfest
- 7:30pm: Cub Foods Ribfest awards
- 9:00pm-12am: Music from Rhino
Gregory Park, named after the founder of Brainerd, will be filled with activities for family fun!
Come on by to enjoy bouncy castles, yard games, basketball games, arts n crafts with the Arboretum, a fish aquarium from the DNR, pickle ball tutorials, Makerspace activities with Brainerd Public Schools, activities with the Wondertrek Children’s Museum, Brainerd themed sign making with Signature Signs (first come first serve), Visit Brainerd’s Funny Faces Ping Pong Races, performances by Stage North and the Legacy Chorale, and delish food from All Fried Up food truck.
