Vermilion CC at Rainy River Baseball Game 2
Recap
Game 2 turned into a high scoring affair. Rainy scored 3 runs in the first, 5 in the second, and 3 more in the third inning to lead 11-1. Vermilion responded with 8 runs in the bottom of the third to close the lead to 11-9. Vermilion then tied it at 11 in the 5th. Rainy scored 2 in the top of the 6th to regain the lead but the Ironmen would score 3 times in the bottom of the frame to pull in front 14-13. The Voyageurs had enough left in the tank and scored 3 times in the top of the 7th to win the game 16-14. Rainy River finishes the North Division season with a 4-6 record and received the #6 seed in the playoffs and will face #1 Itasca on Saturday in the first round of the playoffs. After the game, head coach Josh Koenig said the boys wanted a win in the second game.

Emilio Gonzalez, who coach referenced at the end of the clip, is normally the #1 starter but came in and got the save. Michael Wright had 3 hits and 4 RBI, Christian De-Cho-chay-a (Dicochea) also had 3 hits and Mateo Sierras had 2 hits, 4 RBI, and 3 runs scored.
