Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton vs. Perham – BBB (106.5 FM KRJB)

After a slow start the Perham Yellowjackets found a groove on offense and clamped down on the defensive end to defeat the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels and claim the Section 8AA Championship with a 54-40 victory. The Perham offense initially struggled to make shots despite getting good looks at the basket, meanwhile the Rebels were paced on offense from Owen Leach scoring the first 15 points for DGF for a 15-7 Rebel lead in the first half. Then the Yellowjacket shots started to fall. Five straight made 3-pt. shots in a 15-2 run gave Perham the lead before DGF tied it in the final minute of the first half at 22-22. After halftime the Perham defense took away what was working for the DGF offense and the Yellowjackets continued to get the good looks they had in the first half. The Rebels managed to cut an eight point deficit down to two with under five minutes to go but did not score again in the final 2:53 of the game as Perham closed out the game making eight of ten free throws to extend their margin and claim the 8AA crown.
