Pine River-Backus at Red Lake
The Pine River-Backus Tigers dominated the Red Lake Warriors in every facet of the game on Friday night. The Tigers received the opening kickoff of the game and wasted almost no time putting points up on the board using two run plays to go 52 yards for a touchdown and kicking the ball off back to Red Lake with over 11 minutes left in the first quarter. The lone bright spot of the evening for the Warriors was a long opening drive that lasted nearly 10 minutes but unfortunately ended in a lost fumble. The Tigers took advantage of numerous lost fumbles by the Warriors that occurred deep in their own territory allowing them to score quickly and put the game out of hand early. The Tigers improve to 1-1 on the season and the Warriors fall to 0-3 overall.
