International Falls Broncos at Section 7AA Golf
Day 1 of the boys Section 7AA Golf Tournament took place at the Quarry yesterday. The golfers were looking to be part of one of the top 4 teams or the next best 20 individuals to advance to next Tuesday’s final round. The Broncos boys team got the job done as they carded a score of 349 which tied Hermantown for 3rd place. Surprisingly, it is Duluth Marshall who sits in first place with a score of 332, two shots ahead of favorite Cloquet. Individually for the Falls, Myles Mason shot an 81 which puts him in 5th place after Day 1. Tucker A’llaird shot 75 for first place, followed by Conner Willard of Hibbing and Sam Baker of Cloquet with 77’s, and Noah Bender of Marshall with a 78. Also for the Broncos, Nick Tanner shot 85 for 9th place, Noah Shikowsky 91, Mitchell Nemec 92, Ryan Hedlund 100, and Chase Hoopman 111. Both the Bronco girls and boys will be back at the Quarry on Tuesday with a chance to qualify for the state meet.
