In game 2 of the doubleheader, the Patriots again used crooked numbers on the scoreboard and lights out pitching to earn the sweep.

Kaitlyn Geschwill tossed a second one-hitter as Pequot Lakes won their sixth straight against the Rangers and stay undefeated on the year.

The Patriots got up early with three in the first, doubled the lead with three in the third, and put the five-inning mercy rule in effect with a five-run fourth when they had four consecutive run-producing hits.

Geschwill was perfect through three and a third when Ranger senior Mya Decent slapped a liner up the middle for the Rangers’ lone hit in game two. She was the only base runner allowed.

The Patriots are now 12-0, 8-0 in the MSC, and play at Royalton Friday. Crosby-Ironton falls to 4-9, 1-5 in the conference, and plays at Pillager Thursday on Skeeter 101.5 &
