Ulen City Council News & Notes from July 10th Meeting

Ulen, MN -- The Ulen City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday night this week. At the meeting the council had some discussion with a resident about a beehive. Although most residents would like to get rid of them, Ulen Mayor Mark Christianson says this individual was looking to add one to their property.

The Ulen City Council also talked about and approved adding a newer pickup to the public works fleet, according to Mayor Christianson.

And the Ulen Fire Department is hosting an open house tonight (Thursday) from 5:30 to 7:30. Christianson encourages the community to come out and support them.

The Fire Department will be serving hot dogs and hamburgers, giving tours, and offering kids activities as well during the open house.

In other news from around the city of Ulen, Mayor Christianson gave an update on proposed new Veterans Memorial Park being spearheaded by the Ulen Lions.

The next Ulen City Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 13th.
