Mahnomen, MN -- The Mahnomen School Board had their regular monthly meeting on Monday night this week. With remodeling projects ongoing to the school, the board approved a cosmetic update to the entrances. Mahnomen Superintendent Jeff Bisek says the board approved purchasing a pair of digital signs and other signage updates to the district.
Superintendent Bisek also added the facility updates currently taking place this summer are on schedule and should be completed by the start of school.
As far as staffing goes for the 2018-19 School Year, Bisek says they rehired a now retired teacher and created another new position in the district.
And as common during the summer months, the Mahnomen School Board adjusted and approved their rates and fees for next year.
The Mahnomen School Board also approved $300 per pupil Operating Levy, approved a Lead water testing policy, and approved the annual Long Term Facilities Maintenance Plan.
