Mahnomen, MN -- The Mahnomen School Board made another step forward in their next phase of the building project. The next phase will focus mostly on improvements to the high school. The board opened and approved bids on Monday night, which Mahnomen Superintendent Jeff Bisek says came in a little higher than anticipated.
Superintendent Bisek reported at their monthly meeting that they are in the process of once again filing for Federal Impact Aid funding, which is a big boost to the district given their taxing situation.
And Bisek presented an update on Staff Development.
The Mahnomen School Board also had their reorganizational meeting and set officers. Jim Devries will serve as Chair, Melissa Buck is Vice Chair, Nicole Ose was appointed Clerk, and Kyle Larson was appointed to Treasurer.
