Lake Park City Council News & Notes from November 13th Meeting
By Mark Askelson (11/14/17)
Lake Park, MN -- The Lake Park City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night. The council reviewed and amended their set back ordinance for new construction. Lake Park City Administrator Lonnie Nuener says they knocked 10 feet off of the current ordinance.
And the battle for a new agreement between the Lake Park City Council and AT&T continues on. Administrator Nuener says the two sides are still going back and forth on a new deal that allows AT&T to use the water tower for a cell tower.
The current agreement brings in about $1900 a month to the city for use of their tower.
There has been a spotlight recently on the success and/or failure of the many local municipal liquor stores throughout our region. The Lake Park City Council examined their sales figures at this week’s meeting as a result, but Nuener says they are actually doing pretty well.
The Lake Park City Council meets the 2nd Monday of each month.
