McIntosh, MN -- Despite a summer full of cancelled events, a local shop owner looks to bring fun and excitement to the area. Little Bobby, owner of Little Bobby's Bar & Grill, has been hard at work planning what he calls "The Houle Hogfest" in memory of his father who past away last October. The festival will feature a variety of activities for people of all ages, from children to adults, all centered around music. Starting at 7 P.M. on Friday, August 21st, the event will go until the late hours of Saturday, August 22nd. Growing up in a musical family, Little Bobby looks to share this passion with the community.
The festival will feature bands from around Northwestern Minnesota. A car and bike show will also happen at noon on Saturday. There will also be a corn hole tournament with a $15 entrance fee.
Throughout the day bands will be playing and there will even be a giveaway to any youth that enter. The prize for the drawing is a guitar and amplifier. In order to follow state guidelines, Little Bobby contacted and invited the head of the Minnesota Department of Health to survey the area and ensure there is enough space for people to social distance at both venues and campgrounds. There will also be hand sanitizing stations. For more information about the event or to stay updated, go to the Facebook Page.
