Ada, MN — The Ada-Borup-West School District used their first ever E-Learning Day on Wednesday as a result of the blizzard conditions that persisted throughout the day. E-Learning Days have been implemented by many schools across the state over the past few years and provide an alternative to making up snow days later in the year. So what does an E-Learning Day look like and how do they work? Ada-Borup-West High School Principal says they are often less intensive than a regular school day, but still offer opportunities for education.

Schools are allowed to use up to five E-learning days without making any of them up later in the year. Not having to worry about that, according to Principal Carlson, makes the decision to cancel school and err on the side of safety a much easier one.
