FSA Announces Deadlines for Programs Following the New Year

Polk County, MN – Nathan Peterson provided the final FSA Report for 2021. With the upcoming New Year, Peterson and other officers at FSA hope for a better growing season after the summer drought. Along with these hopeful speculations, there are also a few loan program deadlines coming up in 2022. At the end of January, the Livestock Forage Program, the Water Hauling Assistance Program and the ELAP Feed Hauling Program. All programs are meant to assist livestock producers who have been affected by the drought. Each program does have varying requirements, but Peterson says the application process is ‘fairly easy.’

Office hours at the East Polk County FSA office will be shortened until January 4th. More information about the program can be found at farmers.gov.
