Crow Wing County Homestead Property Tax Deadline approaches

(Brainerd, MN) — Crow Wing County is reminding eligible property owners to apply for homestead status on their property before the December 31st deadline for the 2022 payable tax year.
Homestead applications for owner occupied and relative occupied properties must be sent online, in person (322 Laurel Street, Suite 15, Brainerd), or by calling 218-824-1010.
Contact Crow Wing County Land Services to file a homestead application if you purchased a property in the past year or your or a qualifying relative occupy the property as your primary residence on or before December 2021; or You or a qualifying relative occupy the property as your primary residence and the property is currently classified as seasonal or non-homestead.
A qualifying relative can be a parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, uncle, aunt, nephew, or niece of the owner or owner’s spouse.
