Aitkin Superintendent Dan Stifter gives updates on COVID numbers, CRT, enrollment

(Aitkin, MN) — Our monthly conversation with Aitkin Public Schools Superintendent Dan Stifter, many topics including COVID, CRT, and enrollment following the successful passing of the Capital Projects Levy in early November.
Immediate needs and priorities are being gathered across the district for funding from the Levy, according to Stifter.
Stifter did mention the District continuing to keep an eye on COVID numbers within Aitkin County.
Reiteration was also given on CRT’s place in the current curriculum at Aitkin Public Schools.
Enrollment has also seen drops in numbers from the elementary grades.
Superintendent Stifter also touched on winter activities for the District, forming the curriculum committee, and the need for paraprofessionals and substitute teachers, which can be heard in our full conversation here:
