(Aitkin, MN) — The busy year of 2021 only continues with the prospect of new opportunities for Mille Lacs Energy Cooperative. From volunteering and developing community involvement to expanding broadband services, to a new headquarters, MLEC has the interests of their customers and their employees in mind with their next projects.
We spoke to Kassie Peterson and Sarah Cron from MLEC about their busy holiday season ahead.
2021 Projects for MLEC have featured broadband expansion in Aitkin County that will continue into next year.
MLEC has been giving back to the community with their initiatives in helping local schools.
One notable work that continues for MLEC is the placement of a new headquarters, which was purchased near the junction of Highway 169 and 18 based on the need for more space.
Cron also mentioned that the new headquarters would derive off of being able to suit their needs as well as their members.
Much more of our conversation with Kassie Peterson and Sarah Cron from MLEC will be heard Thanksgiving Day on Community Connection on your favorite stations of Home Grown Local Radio and is also available here:
