McGregor School Board approves Activity Bus, new personnel from November 22nd meeting

(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor School Board did move forward with personnel hirings and updates to upcoming contracts during their regular meeting from the High School Library Monday night.
Following an audit presentation, the Board did approve donations from he McGregor Lions Club totaling $22,000 for school t-shirts, boys and girls sports, library books, and for the Arts program, the retirement of Shelly Wahlin as full-time high school paraprofessional, Zach Hawkinson as junior high boys basketball coach, and Danielle Fritz as speech coach.
Approval was laos given for the non-certified AFSCME Contract effective July 1st, 2021-June 30th, 2023, Jim Lattrell as route van driver, revised ALP Support Person Agreement, and Memorandums of Understanding for ISD #4 and McGregor Federation of Teachers, AFSCME, and Individual contract Holders.
Superintendent and Elementary Principal Brad Johnson spoke about a new potential program beginning at the junior high level.
Johnson also updated a small increase of COVID cases within the District.
Referendum Building construction work, although hitting a recent pause, could be getting a needed boost soon.
The McGregor School District will also be getting their activity bus going next week.
The McGregor School Board will have a Special Session meeting for the Truth and Taxation meeting at 6pm on December 13th. Their next regular meeting will be December 20th at 6pm from the High School Library.
