FSA Introduces New Program for Feed Transportation Costs

Minnesota – Nathan Peterson gave the weekly FSA report on Thursday, November 18th. Peterson covered the new program FSA has introduced to livestock producers. Titled ELAP Feed Transportation Program. Designed to provide financial assistance to producers of livestock, honeybees and farm-raised fish, this program can help in times of disease or harsh weather conditions, such as the D4 drought in the 2021 summer. The report of this new program emphasized how the program covers the cost of transporting feed for livestock that relied on grazing. Peterson elaborated on the specific details of the program and how it operates.
