Win-E-Mac Cancels In-Person Veterans Day Program; Expecting Early Out for Regional Solo Contest

Erskine, MN – The Win-E-Mac school district has had a busy week. Principal Kevin McKeever gave the weekly Win-E-Mac School News, covering what has been happening in the district. The school usually holds an in-person service for Veteran’s Day, however, due to current circumstances the in-person service was cancelled. The school did record a service that was aired on the Garden Valley TV Channel later the same day. McKeever hopes next year an in-person service can be held to recognize community veterans and give thanks for their years of military service without the separation of a screen.
There will also be numerous schedule updates for Win-E-Mac schools. The first is on Monday, November 15th. Starting at noon, the school will dismiss students in order to host the annual regional solo singing contest. Another day was added for Thanksgiving break as well. The break will now go from November 24th to November 26th. There are also community education updates McKeever reported on.
