Aitkin Public Schools certifies Election Results at Special Meeting November 8th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin Public School Board Monday morning came to certify the 2021 Special Election for the Capital Projects Levy from the High School Media Center.

Superintendent Dan Stifter first broke down the paperwork the Board needed to review before signing and certifying the election results.

Stifter also made sure to thank the people behind the scenes for all of the over the past year for the Levy to pass.

The Capital Projects Levy passed on November 4th on a total of 1,595 votes for and 828 votes against.

The $9-million Capital Projects Levy, breaking down to $900.000 over the next 10 years, will be used to maintain school facilities, transportation, technology, curriculum, preogram, and staffing.
