Mahnomen School Board Presented with Potential $16.7 Million Facility Improvement Plan
Mahnomen, MN — The Mahnomen School Board took the next step towards moving forward with the next phase of some potential facility improvements that will help move the district into the modern and future world of education. The district has been working with JLG architects to assess district needs over the past several months and at this Monday’s regular school board meeting were presented with their proposed Facility Improvement Plan, according to Mahnomen Superintendent Jeff Bisek.
JLG Architects also put together some rough cost estimates for all the potential updates, which totaled more than $16 million. Superintendent Bisek says they’ll be gathering feedback and discussing how and if they want to proceed with the potential updates, which would likely require a referendum vote for approval.
The Mahnomen School Board will likely make a decision in November to commit to the plan and possibly a spring referendum vote.
