Ada-Borup-West School Board Update
Ada, MN — The Ada-Borup-West School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday morning. During that meeting, the board and administration spent some time discussing COVID cases and mitigation efforts. There has been an uptick in positive cases in the building, including 26 in the past two weeks. As of now the district won’t be implementing any mask requirements because Ada-Borup-West Superintendent Aaron Cook says the cases appear to be spread out throughout the building.
Testing for COVID-19 has been a big help for the district in identifying positive cases. Superintendent Cook says they’ve been able to test students on the spot and either get them back to class or send them home for quarantine without much disruption.
Cook adds that students and families for the most part have been very receptive towards the opportunity for the school to test students who may be positive.
And in other news from this week’s meeting, the Ada-Borup-West School approved a few staffing items as well as the latest Teacher’s contracts.
