McGregor City Council meeting from October 5th

(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor City Council reviewed numerous concerns and City improvement projects during their regular meeting from Tuesday, October 5th.
We received a meeting recap from McGregor Mayor Dake Olson including the City and the McGregor Chamber of Commerce working on charging vendors for power for next year’s Wild Rice Days.
The Council will hold a 10-minute hearing on delinquent water/sewer at their November 10th meeting. Mayor Olson also noted that updates will be taking place for the lift stations and pumps around town.
Information was presented to Council with Aitkin County Public Health holding a public flu shot clinic on November 2nd at the Community Center. Mayor Olson spoke about work being done on the water tower and the bids being received for the work ahead.
The City of McGregor will also be putting to use a new Bobcat for snow removal and other services at the McGregor Airport. A request from the City to use $10,000 from the Fire Relief Fund for Christmas Decorations was tabled until another meeting. Olson mentioned that the Council held talks with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Tribal Liaison.
The City of McGregor will be receiving their second disbursement from the American Rescue Plan Act to bring their total to $38,000.
The McGregor City Council will meet again on November 2nd, at 6pm from the McGregor Fire Station.
