Bagley, MN – The Bagley school district has a busy week with grades 7-12 parent/teacher conferences scheduled for Thursday, October 7th starting at 4 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. The conferences will be different from last year, as instead of being held virtually, parents are allowed into the high schools to discuss their child’s progress in-person. Superintendent Erich Heise states these conferences are important because they keep lines of communication between the home and classroom open, especially with the many disruptions due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Heise reports a decrease in COVID cases in the schools, saying this positive trend manages to keep the doors open.

However, outside of the classroom is where the school is experiencing difficulties. The shortage of bus drivers has left travelling to and from school and after school activities an obstacle for many students. Heise says the school has managed to adapt and adjust, but the shortage is still is a big concern.

Other job openings at Bagley schools include para-educators. Applicants can contact the school district office for more information at (218) 694-6187 or visit the school website at bagley.k12.mn.us.
