(Brainerd, MN) — Today, Central Lakes College is inviting the community for their monthly “Cultural Thursday” event to touch on the topic of life for the people along the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands.

The event will take place at noon from the Chalberg Theatre on the Brainerd campus and remotely via zoom.

John Fanestil, Executive Director of Via International, a binational non-profit organization working on both sides of the border in San Diego and Tijuana will present to the community his work with Friends of Friendship Park. That coalition advocates for public access to the historic meeting place on the U.S.-Mexico border that overlooks the Pacific Ocean.
