Crosby-Ironton Schools update with Superintendent Dr. Jamie Skjeveland

(Crosby, MN) — Coming off a successful Homecoming week of activities, Crosby-Ironton Schools Superintendent Dr. Jamie Skjeveland spoke to us for our monthly conversation on much-needed plans for the District as well the Crosby and Ironton communities.
Dr. Skjeveland spoke about the statewide troubles with child care and how the District, with help from DEED and the community, are looking to remedy the situation in the immediate area.
The goal is to have the child care center open by Fall 2022.
With the near completion of the new CTE wing for Crosby-Ironton High School, the District gave a private tour of the facility, which then prompted a sizable donation.
Dr. Skjeveland also mentioned that the District has openings for employment in a wide range of positions.
Dr. Jamie Skjeveland did go on to talk about Strategic Planning for the District, the completion of the CRES building construction as the school year began, tracking COVID-19 cases within Crow Wing County, and more with our full conversation which can be heard here:
