Lake Park Pumpkin Fest Returns with New Events for Kids & Adults

Lake Park, MN — Celebrate the fall season with three days of family fun this week in Lake Park at the Lake Park Pumpkin Fest, held annually during the last weekend in September. Lake Park Pumpkin Fest features a number pumpkin and fall related activities and contests starting Thursday, September 23rd and continuing through Saturday, September 25th. Many of the main attractions are back this year, including the pumpkin carving contest, car show, craft show, corn maze, parade, many food options, and more. New this year is a major attraction for the kids. Terri Nelson of the Lake Park Pumpkin Fest committee says they brought in a Ninja Anywhere course for kids to test out their ninja skills.

The Lake Park Pumpkin Fest committee added another unique event this year that is geared specifically for adults. Nelson says they are looking for participants for their first ever Pitchers, Puzzles, and Pizza event on Saturday.

Pumpkin Fest will kick off on Thursday, September 23rd with Burger Night at the American Legion and the return of Pumpkin Carve and Cork.

Friday night will feature the aforementioned pumpkin and scarecrow contest and yard decorating judging, along with Lil’ Miss Pumpkin Fest Pageant at the Lake Park High School.

Some of Saturday’s activities include the Harvest Breakfast the Legion starting at 7am, Classic Car Show and Craft and Vendor Sale from 9am until 2pm, Pumpkin Trail 5K at 9am, Pumpkin Playground at City Park, Lefsa Making demonstrations from 10am until Noon at the Firehall, corn maze, Parade at 2:30, Fireman’s Brat feed at 3:30, and much more Pumpkin fun.
