City of Baxter Updates Hunting Map, Approves New Apartment Complex, and More in September 7 Council Meeting
(BAXTER, MN) — The city of Baxter held its first council meeting of the month of September on Tuesday, so as always, we chatted with Mayor Darrel Olson to hear about how everything went.
Olson first provided an update on the ongoing discussions with Knollwood Drive and the updates that could be coming to it, as well as mentioning some preliminary budget talks.
There has also been ongoing dialogue about the drainage issues off Highway 371 and the water that goes into the Mississippi River, and Olson says the end of that phase is near.
In other business, the city updated its hunting map, adding the Northland Arboretum to the list of permitted areas, per their request.
Olson wrapped up by talking about a new apartment complex coming to the city.
We thank Mayor Olson for his time. The city of Baxter will hold its next regular council meeting on September 21. Our full conversation with Olson can be found below.
