Northwest Mental Health Center is Now Alluma

September 1, 2021 Access Health News -- KRJB-KRJM-KKCQ 0

Crookston, MN — The Northwest Mental Health Center in Crookston has a new name, but still the same mission of promoting wellbeing and instilling hope for those in northwestern Minnesota. They are now known as Alluma, and will still continue to offer mental health services, but Alluma CEO Shauna Reitmeier says they are now expanding their services to other fields to serve more people.

Alluma will now be offering services such as housing support and substance use, in addition to their crisis, psychiatry, and mental well-being services, according to Reitmeier.

The name Alluma has significance as well. Reitmeirer says it’s a combination of the words “all” and “illuminate”, which connects back to their goal of being a beacon of light for everyone in the community.
