Hillsboro Regional Airport Hosting Fly-In
Hillsboro, ND — The Hillsboro Regional Airport invites all area community members to a Fly-In this Wednesday, August 25th from 5:00 to 7:30pm at the airport just west off of I-94 south of Hillsboro. The fly-in offers an opportunity for people to get up close and personal with a number of unique aircraft and see some of the recent improvements for those who don’t use the facility often, according to Hillsboro Airport Authority Chair Larry Mueller.
The Hillsboro Regional Airport has seen an extensive number of updates in recent years, according to Mueller, including new hangars and runway.
A number of local businesses call the Hillsboro Regional Airport home, plus the runway sees extensive use by the University of North Dakota by their aviation students. Because of the privacy it offers, Mueller says it’s also not uncommon for high profile guests who prefer to “fly under the radar” to use it as well. He adds that this airport sets the example for other similar sized airports in the state and encourages community members to check it out.
The Hillsboro Regional Airport Fly-In is this Wednesday, August 25th from 5 – 7:30pm.
