(Aitkin, MN) — Much of our most recent conversation with Aitkin Mayor Megan Workman stemmed from the events from the August 19th City Council meeting in regards to the Hockey Rink/Pickle Ball Courts, watering restrictions, and beginning the search for a new City Administrator.

Mayor Workman said the discussion on the Hockey Rink/Pickle Ball Courts all comes down to the surface and how to address it properly.

The City will be addressing the surface of the Courts coming up in the Spring of 2022.

Workman says the 2021 Street Projects are moving along right on schedule and some are wrapping up.

Recent talks of watering needs of trees and plant life in Aitkin have also reinforced the needs of restrictions in the current drought climate.

Mayor Workman also spoke about the City’s search for a new administrator.
