(Wahkon, MN) — The City of Wahkon is one of three cities in Minnesota currently being used to demonstrate projects from the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
MnDOT is asking those who travel by foot, bicycle, or motor vehicles to “try-out” the projects that are set-up through the summer for the use of temporary tape and traffic control devices. The community is also invited to take an online survey to provide feedback on projects.
Wahkon is set up with Bump-outs and road narrowing at the Highway 27 (Main Street) intersections of First Street West, Second Street, and Third Street. A bike lane is marked along both sides of Highway 27 between the curb and the on-street parking lane.
