Assistant Commissioner and Committee Member Discuss the Process of Reviewing and Setting Social Studies Standards

Assistant Commissioner Bobbie Burnham and committee member Matt Carlstrom of Deer River spoke with Mary Balstad about the process of setting the social studies standards. In accordance with Minnesota law, one subject is reviewed and revised on a 10-year cycle. Burnham and Carlstrom discuss the process of setting the social studies standards and what part the Department of Education and Social Studies Standards Committee take in this process.
