Last two days of Aitkin County Fair have plenty to offer

(Aitkin, MN) — The last two days of the Aitkin County Fair promise to be the best days of all the festivities from the Fairgrounds in Aitkin.
Today, Friday, July 9th, all starts off with Artist in Residence painter Adelle McDonnell from 10am-2pm and Alan Jensen will be woodcarving from 5-9pm from the Creative Activities Building. The Hose Pleasure Show begins at 10am from the Horse Arena. Vocal Perspective will be performing at the Watters Pavilion from 2-5pm. The Grandstand will be opened up with races of Mod 4’s, Hornet & Pure Stock, and School Buses as pits open at 4:30pm with racing at 7pm.
Saturday will begin with acrylic Painter Liz Nix from 10am-1pm from the Creative Activities Building and the Central Minnesota Cattlemen’s Association Beef Show beginning at 10am from the Livestock Arena. The Classic Tractor Parade will be circling the Fairgrounds at 1pm. Acoustic Smoke will be performing from 2-5pm from the Watters Pavilion and the Fashion Show starts at 2pm from the Creative Activities Building. Baja Races will start at 5pm in the Grandstands.
Gate Admission is free with parking at $5 per day on the Aitkin County Fairgrounds in Aitkin.
R&J Broadcasting, Inc will be present throughout the week at the Aitkin County Fair with live interviews, giveaways, and our Hoop Shoot which will give people three chances to make a basket to win a pop for one dollar. Proceeds from the Hoop Shoot will go towards a local food shelf. Pop will also be provided by Ukara’s Big Dollar in McGregor.
