(Aitkin, MN) — Highway 210 in Aitkin County will be encountering traffic delays and project start-ups beginning July 12th, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Detours will be in place for the culvert replacement on Highway 210 just outside of McGregor. Highway 210 will be closed during the duration of the project from July 12-28. The 23-mile detour will be Aitkin County Road 5 to County Road 3 to Highway 65 to Highway 210 for eastbound direction and opposite for westbound traffic. Turner Lake Public Access will remain open during construction. Access will be from the west only.

Detours for the Highway 210 Deerwood to Aitkin project will close down the westbound lanes with the route going Highway 169 Aitkin to Bennetville, then to Aitkin County Road 11 and Crow Wing County Road 14 to Highway 6 Bay Lake and back to Deerwood. Eastbound lanes of the traffic will experience lane shifts, one-way traffic, and reduced speeds. Those from side entrances or streets MUST GO EAST through the work zone. These changes will be Monday, July 12th weekdays through Friday afternoon by 3pm.
